Frugal Friends Swap Night

Here's a great idea that works on the basic idea of help and be helped and that old saying of how one person's junk can be another person's treasure!

It came about when talking to a few friends about how many unwanted gifts we'd all been given at varying times in our lives. And how many of those gifts got put away in drawers and cupboards and forgotten about until the next clean out by which time they had past their use-by date and had to be thrown out!

I for one always felt really guilty about wasting perfectly good product and it seems most of my friends did too.

So we invented swap night!

Basically everybody brings a basket filled with (their own unwanted) goodies to swap - make up, skin care, hair care, hair accessories, jewelry and so on.

All the items then get placed together on a table and each person gets to make up a gift basket for themselves, with all the goodies they want to take home!

Not only is it a great way of getting a few new things for yourself it's also a really good way of catching up with friends, without spending any money!
