Try a SUPERB HOT FUDGE SAUCE recipe or indulge yourself with a fabulously rich chocolate brownie recipe made with real chocolate, absolutely divine!

Recipe for Chocolate Fudge
4 ounces dark (semi sweet) chocolate chopped
4 ounces (unsalted) sweet butter
1 1/2 cups icing (confectioners) sugar
2 tablespoon milk

You can also add 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds if you like.

  1. Line the base and sides of a shallow 6 3/4 (17cm) inch square cake tin with foil and brush with melted butter.

  2. Combine all the ingredients except the nuts in a medium size heavy based saucepan and stir over a low heat until the chocolate and butter have melted and the mixture is smooth.

  3. Bring to the boil and boil for 1 minute only.

  4. Remove from the heat and beat with a wooden spoon until the mixture looks smooth and creamy, then stir in your nuts if using.

  5. Pour into the cake tin and leave to set.

  6. Once set remove from the tin and carefully(!) peel off the foil, then cut into pieces.

Your melt-in-the-mouth yummy homemade fudge will last (in an airtight container) for about a week.

Place your fudge in a cellophane bag tied with curly ribbon or for an super enjoyable treat pop into a suitable gift container and add to your gourmet chocolate gift baskets.

1/2 cup cream
2 tablespoons corn syrup
3 1/2 ounces dark (semi sweet) chocolate
1/2 cup soft brown sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  1. Break the chocolate in to pieces and place in a small pan with the rest of the ingredients.

  2. Stir over a low heat until all the ingredients have melted.

  3. Bring to the boil and take off the heat.

  4. Easy peasy! Serve warm or hot.

This recipe for chocolate sauce is delicious served over ice cream, chocolate brownie or chocolate cake. Look out for some interesting bottles for your hot fudge sauce and add a fancy label to finish off.

Super Simple Chocolate Fudge Brownie

Try my favorite easy peazy fudge brownie recipe. Made in a pot, it's no mess, no fuss and absolutely delicious!

Fudge Brownie Recipe
1 cup chocolate chunks or chips or buttons
1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 C). Grease a 12 x 12 pan.

  2. Melt the butter in a sauce pan over a low heat. Remove from the element and add the chocolate.( No need to use a double boiler, the heat from the butter will melt the chocolate perfectly).

  3. Using a fork mix in the sugar, then add the eggs one at a time. Stir in the vanilla.

  4. Add the flour and sifted cocoa, mix until smooth.

  5. Pour into prepared pan and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes.

  6. The brownie will crack slightly around the edges but will be soft to the touch.

  7. Allow to cool, sprinkle with icing sugar if you wish.
