Recipe for Chocolate Fudge 4 ounces dark (semi sweet) chocolate chopped 4 ounces (unsalted) sweet butter 1 1/2 cups icing (confectioners) sugar 2 tablespoon milk
You can also add 1/2 cup of coarsely chopped pecans, walnuts or almonds if you like. - Line the base and sides of a shallow 6 3/4 (17cm) inch square cake tin with foil and brush with melted butter.
- Combine all the ingredients except the nuts in a medium size heavy based saucepan and stir over a low heat until the chocolate and butter have melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Bring to the boil and boil for 1 minute only.
- Remove from the heat and beat with a wooden spoon until the mixture looks smooth and creamy, then stir in your nuts if using.
- Pour into the cake tin and leave to set.
- Once set remove from the tin and carefully(!) peel off the foil, then cut into pieces.
Your melt-in-the-mouth yummy homemade fudge will last (in an airtight container) for about a week. Place your fudge in a cellophane bag tied with curly ribbon or for an super enjoyable treat pop into a suitable gift container and add to your

- Break the chocolate in to pieces and place in a small pan with the rest of the ingredients.
- Stir over a low heat until all the ingredients have melted.
- Bring to the boil and take off the heat.

- Allow to cool, sprinkle with icing sugar if you wish.
