You can make a tasty and healthy salsa with a VARIETY of DIFFERENT INGREDIENTS depending on what you have on hand.

Go for a delicious tomato salsa, or try a scrumptious pineapple salsa recipe, or a sweet chili and mango salsa
recipe for a something a little different.




Salsas go well with chicken, meat or seafood and are SUPERB with Mexican food, such as tacos and burritos.

Serve your salsa as a dip with corn chips and a bowl of guacamole for a yummy snack. PERFECT for taking along to a summer barbecue!

Try these simple recipes for starters.

Tomato Salsa Recipe
3 diced tomatoes
1 diced red onion
1 bunch scallions(spring onions)diced
1 diced red bell pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 lemon juiced
Salt and pepper

  1. Add the diced vegetables to a large bowl and mix together.

  2. Combine olive oil and lemon juice and toss gently through the vegetables.

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Pineapple Salsa Recipe
3 cups chopped pineapple
1 finely diced red or green bell pepper
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons white wine or cider vinegar
salt and pepper

  1. Add the pineapple and pepper together and place in a bowl.

  2. Mix the oil and vinegar together and toss gently through the pineapple mixture.

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Mango Salsa Recipe
2 mangoes peeled and diced
1 bunch spring onions diced
1/2 red bell pepper diced
1 small bunch cilantro chopped
3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
3 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper

  1. Add the diced mangoes, red pepper, onions, and cilantro to a bowl.

  2. Mix the chili sauce, vinegar and olive oil together and toss gently through the mango mixture.

  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

If you're not planning on using the salsa for a while, cover it and store in the fridge. Salsa does taste best SERVED at ROOM TEMPERATURE though, so make sure you bring it out of the fridge about 30 minutes before you're ready to dig in!
