Knitting Basket

I was asked to make a gift basket for a raffle at our local kindergarten's fundraiser. I wanted to do something different to the usual gourmet food and wine type basket so I decided to make a knitting basket instead.

I used a reasonably large basket that could be kept and used as a storage container and filled it with the following. Several skeins of wool in complimentary colors, a straight pair of knitting needles, a set of circular needles, a pair of scissors and a knitting instructional DVD.

I also included a couple of basic patterns, one for a colorful scarf and one for a gorgeous baby shawl made from knitted squares.

The raffle gift basket turned out to really popular! I'm sure this basket would also be a great hit for anyone that's crafty or who had expressed an interest in learning how to knit.
